Genesis has been working with schools in the South West to generate new learning in sustainability for over 3 years.

The Centre has created activities for both primary and secondary school pupils that map against the national curriculum and that introduce sustainable issues., fitting with the National Framework, DFES Eight Doorways and supporting Eco School status.

Technical Tours can also be arranged. Prices generally start at £150 for a group. We also offer a Sustainable Development Day for educational organisations and companies who wish to bring staff along to learn more. This runs as a whole day programme.

If you wish to talk to someone in more depth about sustainability or sustainable building then a 'surgery' type session can be arranged for you at a cost of £50.00 please call 01823 366528.

New for 2009: NCFE Level 2 in Sustainable Development is now available suitable for staff development and for training your businesses, plus bespoke courrses.

CPD courses run for one day and are limited to a maximum of 20 places. Please book early to avoid disappointment. For a full programme of courses or to register email genesis@somerset.ac.uk

All courses run several times throughout the year. .

Enter the Genesis Young Environmentalist competition, sponsored by Viridor Waste Management. the competition is open to secondary schools, FE Colleges and Universities.

Results are announced at an Awards day in June
