Company Background
Local Woodshop source all the timber from Exmoor, kiln dry and manufacture on site, softwood flooring and cladding.(Cedar and Larch) Our kiln dried shavings are then made into wood fuel briquettes (on site) and are sold to the public or wholesalers.
Business Aims
We are in the process of becoming the first manufacturer in the South West of the European 'Brettstapel' massive wood housing system. This has the support of Forestry Commission England, Exmoor National Park and The Crown. We have interest from several housing developers with the potential to build houses from locally grown timber which will in turn reduce their environmental impact and sequester large amounts of CO2.
Products and Services
Our core business is the manufacturing of cladding and flooring although Ian is qualified to stress grade and we are flexible with the work we can produce.
We also retail -
- wood fuel briquettes, ideal for wood burning stoves
- Agas and fires.
